Multiple options, one integration
Digital assets investments inside the wallet.
Picnic's users held balances that sat idle in the wallet. With Pods, Picnic shipped stablecoin yield inside the app in days: one Investments API aggregating multiple protocols, a drop-in widget for the front end, and cross-chain actions so deposits on one chain can reach the best strategy on another. Earn grew 20% week-over-week with no paid acquisition, and now holds $596,445 in TVL from 1,141 KYC'd users, in a low-average-ticket, BRL-denominated market.
Results
- 20% WoW Organic growth in Earn usage, no paid campaigns
- 1,141 users KYC'd wallets actively earning
- $596,445 Total value locked from BRL deposits
Situation
Picnic is the fastest-growing non-custodial wallet in Brazil, the second-largest smart account wallet in the world, and the official Gnosis Pay card distributor in Brazil. Their users hold balances, and those balances sat idle. Picnic wanted to offer stablecoin yield inside the wallet, without building onchain infrastructure, managing protocol integrations, or adding smart contract risk for their users.
Challenge
- Protocol integrations: connecting to multiple yield sources, each with its own contracts and quirks.
- Strategy selection: deciding where deposits go, and keeping that decision current.
- Position tracking: per-user balances, historical performance, PnL screens.
- Cross-chain friction: users hold USDC on one chain, the best strategy lives on another.
- Low average ticket: Brazilian deposits are small, so every point of UX friction costs conversion.
How Pods helped
- Yield widget: Front-end integration without building the UI from scratch.
- Investments API: One endpoint, multiple protocols, aggregated strategy selection.
- Position tracking: Per-wallet data for historical and PnL screens users can trust.
- Cross-chain actions: Deposit USDC on Polygon, allocate into a sDAI strategy on Gnosis. One click, no bridge.
- Bytecode-level integrations: Direct protocol interaction, independently verifiable, no new smart contract risk.
Result
Earn shipped in days, and grew without paid acquisition: 20% week-over-week growth in Earn usage, fully organic; 1,141 KYC'd unique users actively earning; and $596,445 in TVL from BRL-denominated deposits in a low-average-ticket market. That last number matters most: nearly $600K locked in a depreciated currency with small deposit sizes means the UX worked, and users came back. Picnic also uses Pods for their Savings Account.
